How to install Simple Agent on WordPress

You will paste a single <script> tag in your WordPress site's WPCode Footer or wp_footer hook. No plugin, no app installation. WordPress official docs on custom code->

   Get your agent token

   Log into Simple Agent → your agent → Widget tab → copy the token shown under 'Embed code'.

   Recommended path — use WPCode

   In WordPress Admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin. Search for WPCode, install it, and activate it.

   Paste in the Footer box

   Go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer. Paste the full widget snippet in the Footer box: <script src="https://simple-agent.me/widget/loader.js" data-agent-token="YOUR_TOKEN_HERE" async ></script>

   Replace YOUR_TOKEN_HERE

   Replace YOUR_TOKEN_HERE with your actual agent token. Click Save Changes.

   Alternative — inject via wp_footer

   If you cannot use a plugin and you know how to edit PHP safely, add this to functions.php in a child theme or controlled theme file: add_action('wp_footer', function() { echo '<script src="https://simple-agent.me/widget/loader.js" data-agent-token="YOUR_TOKEN_HERE" async></script>'; });

   Verify on the front end

   Open the public site in a private browser tab, outside wp-admin. Clear cache if needed, confirm the chat bubble appears, and send a test message.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with page builders like Elementor or Divi?

Yes. A footer snippet or wp_footer injection loads outside the page-builder content, so it works with Elementor, Divi, and similar builders.

Will it conflict with other chat plugins like Tidio or LiveChat?

Both widgets can coexist, but showing two chat buttons on the same page is confusing. We recommend removing the other plugin if you switch to Simple Agent.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce runs on WordPress. Install the widget at the WordPress level, then add your product, policy, and sitemap URLs as Simple Agent sources.
