How to install Simple Agent on Wix

You will paste a single <script> tag in your Wix site's Settings → Custom Code → Body End. No plugin, no app installation. Wix official docs on custom code →

   Get your agent token

   Log into Simple Agent → your agent → Widget tab → copy the token shown under 'Embed code'.

   Open Wix Custom Code

   In Wix Editor, click Settings in the left panel → Custom Code → + Add Custom Code.

   Paste the snippet

   In the code field, paste: <script src="https://simple-agent.me/widget.js" data-agent-token="YOUR_TOKEN_HERE" async ></script>

   Configure placement

   Set 'Place Code in' to Body - End. Set 'Add Code to Pages' to All Pages. Name it 'Simple Agent Widget' so you can find it later.

   Apply and preview

   Click Apply. Preview your site — the chat widget will appear at the bottom-right. Publish when confirmed.

Frequently asked questions

Does Wix's built-in chat conflict with Simple Agent?

Wix's native chat (Wix Chat) is a separate widget. Both can be active simultaneously, but to avoid confusion for visitors, consider disabling the Wix Chat app if you're switching to Simple Agent.

Can I limit the widget to specific Wix pages?

Yes. In the Custom Code settings, choose 'Choose Specific Pages' instead of 'All Pages' when adding the code.

Does it work with Wix's mobile view?

Yes. The widget is responsive and adapts to mobile screen sizes automatically.
