How to install Simple Agent on WooCommerce

You will paste a single <script> tag in your WooCommerce site's WPCode Footer or WordPress wp_footer hook. No plugin, no app installation. WooCommerce official docs on custom code →

   Get your agent token

   Log into Simple Agent → your agent → Widget tab → copy the token shown under 'Embed code'.

   Install WPCode

   In WordPress Admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for WPCode, install it, and activate it.

   Open Header & Footer

   Go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer. You should see Header, Body, and Footer boxes.

   Paste in Footer

   Paste the complete widget snippet in the Footer box: <script src="https://simple-agent.me/widget/loader.js" data-agent-token="YOUR_TOKEN_HERE" async ></script>

   Replace the token and save

   Replace YOUR_TOKEN_HERE with your actual agent token, then click Save Changes.

   Clear cache and validate the store

   Purge any WordPress, host, or CDN cache. Open a private browser tab and test the widget on the home page, a product page, and the cart.

   Train on WooCommerce content

   In Simple Agent, add product, category, shipping, return, FAQ, and sitemap URLs as knowledge sources so the agent can answer store-specific questions.

Is WooCommerce a separate install path from WordPress?

No. WooCommerce runs inside WordPress, so the widget is installed through WordPress-level custom code.

Should I paste the widget in Header or Footer?

Footer is the better default for a chat widget because it loads after the page content. Use Header only when a provider explicitly requires it.

Will Simple Agent know my products automatically?

The widget install only loads the chat. Add WooCommerce product, category, policy, and sitemap URLs as Simple Agent sources to train the agent.
